This shawl is inspired by evening light that dances across the summer landscape. From Lake Superior to Briar Lake, the boreal forest cloaks the often mysterious summer purple skies, appropriate in Prince's home state of Minnesota. As the summer wanes, this wrap will keep you warm as the evenings cool down. The fabric is created through the nuno wet felting process, which combines silk fabric with fine layers of merino wool and bits of bamboo, silk and colorful embellishments.
Inspired by the purple evening light during the summer in northern Minnesota.
- Dimensions: 64 inches long by 12 inches wide; with fringe 94 inches by 12 inches.
- Fibers: 100% purple silk chiffon, combined with fine layers of complementary shades of purple, lavender and white merino wool.
- Fringe and embellishments include silk and bamboo fibers; specialty and novelty yarn; and angelina fibers.
