This delightful wrap captures the explosion of color in a Duluth summer garden. Inspired by the shape of poppies, this lightweight, one-of-a-kind garment also works well as a neck scarf. Since I was a kid, red poppy pins have been sold in honor of Memorial Day. Now I appreciate their beauty in my garden. The deep green leaves on the edges frame the multi-colored design. The fabric is created through the nuno wet felting process, which combines fine layers of merino wool and bits of bamboo, silk and colorful embellishments.
Inspired by the explosion of color in my garden in Duluth, Minnesota.
- Dimensions: 58 inches long by 13 inches wide
- Fibers: 100% magenta silk fabric, combined with fine layers of complementary shades of green, purple, magenta, pink, yellow and white merino wool.
- Fringe and embellishments include silk and bamboo fibers; wool locks; and angelina fibers.
