There’s something about blue ice. And I’m not talking about far flung glaciers. Each winter, waves on Lake Superior push the ice onto shore, creating a jaw-dropping display. This scarf captures the beauty with its blue wool and silver accents. It can be worn in any season, and works well as a light wrap and as a neck scarf. The complementary blue lace border is reminiscent of how the ice frames the greatest of the Great Lakes. The lightweight fabric is created through the nuno wet felting process, which combines fine layers of merino wool and bits of bamboo, silk and colorful embellishments.

Inspired by the blue ice that forms each winter on the shores of Lake Superior.

  • Dimensions: 52 inches long (including fringe) by 12 inches wide.
  • Fibers: 100% royal blue silk fabric, combined with fine layers of complementary shades of blue, white, tand teal merino wool. Fringe and embellishments include a ruffle lace border; silk and bamboo fibers; wool locks; and angelina fibers.
